Elvis Presley recorded more than 250 of his songs at RCA’s Historic Studio B on Music Row. The red, blue and green lights found in the studio today are remnants from one of Elvis’ Christmas albums. Unable to get into the holiday spirit while recording in July, he was having trouble finishing the album. The crew solved the problem by installing holiday-colored lights, putting up an artificial Christmas tree in the corner and cranking the air conditioner up as high as it would go to create a festive atmosphere.

Custom scores for television shows like “Today,” “Dateline,” “King of the Hill” and “Regis & Kelly” and for companies like Busch Beer, FedEx and Wendy’s were all recorded at a recording studio in Nashville called 615 Music. This studio has received 90 international and national awards for its original work.

R&B superstars James Brown, Etta James and Joe Tex all recorded songs in Music City and native Nashvillian Robert Knight had a monster hit with "Everlasting Love", a song that has since been covered by everyone from Gloria Estafan to U2.

Some of the biggest hits in popular music were recorded at RCA's Studio B in Nashville:

  • "It's Now or Never" by Elvis Presley
